Yeah, so apparently the Bush administration is concerned about the new TLD .xxx coming out.

"The Department of Commerce has received nearly 6,000 letters and e-mails from individuals expressing concern about the impact of pornography on families and children,"

Yeah, its a good thing that there isn't any porn online right now.

Besides which, it would be way to hard to write a script to filter out websites that end in .xxx for parental control.

Ah, yes. Good old myopic Bush.

The .xxx TLD will make porn filtering easier. It benefits everyone: both people looking for porn and people who want to avoid it. If Bush or his administration had critical thinking skills, they would realize this and support it.

(Actually, they are probably opposing it for political reasons. Even if they have critical thinking skills, the voters don't, and it's all about pleasing the fundamentalists...)
