Its all BS if you ask me. The professor is just worried about losing his own job. And clearly, if hes announcing it in class, he obviously doesn't know who took it. If he did, they'd have allready got it back.

But, yeah. Windows does not phone home to Redmond on boot up, so that part was a blatant fabrication, and most of the other stuff the guy was talking about was technologically infeasible.
