When I flew back from Minnesota, the Transportation Security Authority searched my checked bag and removed the following "security threats":

  • Shadow of the Colossus

  • Katamari Damacy

  • We Love Katamari

  • Soul Calibur III

  • Xenosaga 2

EDIT: To clarify, the games were just gone. They did not actually say that they were a security threat. That was a joke. I believe the screeners simply stole the games.

Yes, we have set up a wonderful system:

1) Hand over large number of bags packed with valuables to strangers.
2) Have all of the bags x-rayed so the people monitoring the bags know what is valuable and what is not.
3) Have very little oversight over who screens the bags with the x-ray machine.
4) Don't allow passengers to place locks on or otherwise "secure" the bags.

That really sucks man.

I think you can report that as lost luggage to NWA. File a complaint, and you may get money for the games you lost.

I filed a claim with NWA. I actually have no particular reason to believe that it was the TSA and not some other baggage hanlder, but I blame the TSA for their no-locks rule.

Luckily the memory cards were in my carry-on so I didn't lose anything that can't be easily replaced.
