Air strikes considered crime-fighting option?

Dear Mr. President,

If a bunch of terrorist were -- unbeknownst to me -- meeting in the apartment next to mine, would the US military decide to bomb my apartment building, possibly killing me and several families that live around me in the process?

I mean, apparently you see that as a perfectly acceptable thing to do in Pakistan. So why not here? What's the difference?

When did the terrorists say that they were meeting? Where do you live? Do you know what major intersection that is by? Never mind I'll have my people look into it, I'm sure they'll be able to find your address, I have a pretty good team. Oh and could you clear any likely voters out of the area? Since you're a twenty-something probably none of your friends around there vote, but if you happen to know any senior citizens around there get them out immediately. This sort of thing is always so much easier in Pakistan. Can you believe it? There's not a single U.S. voter in the entire tribal region. And have you seen how many terrorists there are over there wearing their turbans in view of the satellites? I can't miss!

It's even better. I live in the Bay Area. If you strike here you'll only kill liberals!

for the record: Three al-Qaeda members 'killed'

18 inocent lives to save me, and my way of life; those are odds I can live with.

I wonder what difference in American lives the killing of those three al-Qaeda members will make. I mean, how many American lives were saved by this act?

I bet the number is somewhat less that 18.
