RIAA's Jenni Engebretsen named CEO for Democratic Public Affairs

It looks like the Democrats have engaged full steam to lose in 2008. To stem the tide of popular opinion turning their way, they've decided to make Jenni Engebretsen "Deputy CEO for Public Affairs" for the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Denver. Of course, shes better known as the RIAA mouthpiece that helped make the RIAA the worst and most hated company in America.

With this powerful tool in their arsenal, the Democrats are once again poised to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

To be fair, the RIAA's goal was never to get people to like them. In fact, they are probably better off being feared, since the only RIAA-branded product is lawsuits, and most people are too dumb to equate the RIAA to its member companies. But, yeah. Still seems odd for a political party to hire someone whose past experience is in getting people to fear her, not like her.

The sad part is, I don't even know if I want the Democrats to lose. Unless its Hillary of course. But who knows, maybe Obama isn't such a bad guy. Pretty crazy coming from a conservative Baptist 'eh? Damn you Bush! You AND your crazy Orwellian administration.

5 bucks says the government scans this site and puts me on a terrorist watch list. Too bad, I was all set to fly to California end of the month too. :-( I doubt they'll let me on the plane now.

Hey, where in California? If you're going to be in the bay area, you should come down to Google for lunch!

It's not like the current administration is especially "conservative" anyway.

I am socially liberal, fiscally conservative. Bush is socially conservative, fiscally stupid.

That about sums it up.

True, the Bush administration isn't "conservative" by traditional standards, but I think they've redefined "conservative" to mean "100% crazy". Now I'm afraid to call myself "conservative" at the though of being lumped in with those knuckleheads.

If only Weng Weng were here, he'd know what to do.
